FLAG SERIES 

9/11

This painting is composed of salvaged American flag remnants and newspapers from the week of 9/11/01. The flags are rescued, recycled and reborn. I'm giving these flag remnants that were about to be trashed a second life. All of the names of the people that died on that day are buried amongst the flags. That horrific day is indelibly etched on my soul as well as the world's and this painting was my catharsis.
